About Sticky Business Books
When people learn that you read over 100 books a year, they have just one question.
And the question is: Which books do you recommend?
Notice something. They don’t want to know which books I read. Or have read. They just want the stuff I’d recommend. Which means that very few books make it through the sieve.
But hey, lots of sites and blogs and magazines have review pages. What makes ‘Sticky Business Books’ different? For one, I don’t tell you about the ‘crappy’ books. I just tell you about the ones I like. And I rate the book on the basis of application, ideas and style. The ideas are self-explanatory, as you can see the stickies in the book itself. The application and style isn’t. So I keep a close watch on how the author keeps me captivated (I detest boring writers)–as well as gives practical information.
And what really makes this blog different, is that concepts within the book get linked to articles on the Psychotactics site (and other sites when I can find appropriate links). And so the review is almost like a mind map that leads to exploring the concepts even further.
That’s it ![]()

Nice, Sean. Appreciate your new blog and book comments. Good choice to lead off with The Long Tail. I guess I need to re-read it again, agree with you.
Sean,
You are doing a fantastic job. Keep it up!
